The pumps have numbers on them but it could be a replacement etc. I find the age really irrelevant. I have seen 10 year old plows to be in pretty good shape and 1 year old blades beat up pretty bad. Paint is a bad inidcator IMO.The connectors snap together but you will probably want to silicone the back sides and grease the terminals. I think they were $5/$10 verses $50 for a repair end.
